Metacam Oral for Dogs (Meloxicam)

Metacam Anti-inflammatory Oral Suspension for Dogs

Active Constituent:
Meloxicam 1.5 mg/mL

Available Sizes:
10 mL, 32 mL, 100 mL, 180 mL

Indications:
Metacam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, such as discospondylosis, arthropathy, and soft tissue injuries in dogs.

Directions for Use:
Shake well before use. Administer orally, either mixed with a small amount of food or directly into the mouth. Once eaten, follow with the remainder of the normal meal.

Dosage:

Give as directed by your veterinarian.

If no improvement is noticed after 10 days, consult a veterinarian.

Contraindications:

• Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals.
• Not for use in animals under 6 weeks of age or those suffering from cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease.
• Do not use where there is gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding, or hypersensitivity to the product.

Precautions:
Avoid use in dehydrated, hypovolaemic, or hypotensive animals due to the risk of renal toxicity. Use with caution in elderly or debilitated animals.

Side Effects:
Possible side effects include loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, faecal occult blood, lethargy, and in rare cases, renal failure or gastrointestinal ulceration. Discontinue use and consult a vet if side effects are persistent.

Storage:
Store below 25°C. Discard 6 months after initial use.

Disposal:
Dispose of the empty container by wrapping in paper and placing in the garbage.
