For the treatment of hypothyroidism in dogs.
Dosage & Administration:
Available only under veterinary authorisation. Give as directed by your veterinarian. For Animal Treatment Only
Precautions:
- Use with caution in dogs with heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or treated hypoadrenocorticism.
- Gradual dosage adjustment is recommended in sensitive patients.
- Regular monitoring during pregnancy and lactation is advised, as thyroid requirements may increase.
- Do not use in hyperthyroid animals.
- Contraindicated in animals with uncorrected Addison’s disease, acute myocardial infarction, or hypersensitivity to levothyroxine sodium.
Side Effects:
- Signs of overdose (hyperthyroidism): weight loss, increased heart rate, thirst, urination, appetite, vomiting, and diarrhoea.
- Transient skin reactions like mild scaling may occur.
- Contact your veterinarian if adverse effects are observed.
Storage Instructions:
- Store below 25°C. Protect from light.
