Carprieve Tablets

For Animal Treatment Only

Carprieve Tablets are a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic properties, formulated to reduce inflammation and provide pain relief in dogs. They are particularly indicated for managing pain and inflammation associated with degenerative joint disease.

Active Ingredient: Each tablet contains Carprofen.

Tablet Strengths: 20mg, 50mg, 100mg tablets.

Dosage and Administration: Administer orally. The recommended starting dose is 2-4 mg per kg of body weight, divided into two doses per day. After 7 days, the dose may be reduced to 2 mg per kg once daily, based on clinical response. The duration of treatment will depend on the response, and long-term use should be under veterinary supervision.

Contraindications:

  • Do not administer other NSAIDs concurrently or within 24 hours of each other.
  • Do not use in dogs with gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding, cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease, or in cases of blood disorders or hypersensitivity to the product.
  • Use in puppies less than 6 weeks of age or in aged dogs may require reduced dosages and careful clinical management.
  • Avoid use in dehydrated, hypovolaemic, or hypotensive dogs.

Side Effects: As with all NSAIDs, Carprofen can cause adverse effects, including loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, and lethargy. If any signs of intolerance appear, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian immediately.

Environmental Warning: Toxic to terrestrial vertebrates. Avoid releasing the product into the environment. Dispose of packaging at an approved facility.

Storage: Store below 30°C, in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
